Light, Air, and View
Fjord Living, Bergen, Norway:
Nestled perfectly in the mountain side, overlooking one of the most beautiful fjords in the western coast of Norway, the existing house was a very common and ordinary place in need of integration. Our main design strategy was to connect the occupants with the unparalleled natural beauty. Light, air, and the view are brought in through a series of designed apertures, reorientations and direct connection to the exterior environment. We made the house more porous and rooted in its natural environment.
