Our design concept grew out of majesty of this magnificent peak on the edge of Rosendal fjord. An idyllic mountainous pasture on the west cost of Norway. Light, sky view, unimpeded view of the near fjord and ever-present mountain peak to the west and south planned the house for us. This addition to an existing house grew directly from landscape and its daily and seasonal rhythms to provide a retreat for a professional family. Here every aperture is multipurpose and all surfaces are used. Moving through the house, while living, is being in constant contact with the landscape.

A healing environment the house is animated with the natural rhythms of the site to entrain the occupants’ biological rhythms.
